Healing Pathways Interviews — Art Therapist and Professional Artist Leah Guzman

Welcome to the Healing Pathways Interview Series.

On my soul path I have benefited from a variety of healing arts, including yoga, sound, meditation, art therapy, crystals, and more. To celebrate these wonderful methods for personal growth and healing, I gathered a group of experts to share their experience with us. These are people who have helped me in person or over the magic of the web, and each shares practical advice to aid us on our path.

Art Therapist & Professional Artist Leah Guzman

Leah Guzman has a beautiful story of using art for personal growth and, as an art therapist, as a way to help others heal. In the role of therapist, Leah has learned the importance of caring for herself in order to be able to be of best service. This reminded me of the book “Art is A Way of Knowing” by Pat Allen. Pat was on the leading edge of art therapy and, like Leah, had to learn the delicate balance of healing herself and healing others. For both Pat and Leah, art is the key. In this interview we discuss working with color, the power of working with someone to act as a witness to your therapeutic work, fun ways to manifest with art, the chakras, and more. Enjoy!
