Healing Pathways Interviews — Holistic Health Coach Leah Wentworth
Welcome to the Healing Pathways Interview Series.
On my soul path I have benefited from a variety of healing arts, including yoga, sound, meditation, art therapy, crystals, and more. To celebrate these wonderful methods for personal growth and healing, I gathered a group of experts to share their experience with us. These are people who have helped me in person or over the magic of the web, and each shares practical advice to aid us on our path.
Holistic Health Coach & EFT practitioner Leah Wentworth
This Healing Pathways interview is with the infectiously joyous Leah Wentworth. Leah has an amazing story and unique background that has lead her to a path of healing for women. In this interview, Leah walks me through EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) with profound results. I had tried EFT on myself without knowing how deeply beneficial it is to work with a practitioner. I am enlightened. Through Leah's gentle guidance I discovered huge wells of fear, pain, sorrow, worry, and tension around the issue I chose to address. And Leah intuitively and gently lead me, held the space, and allowed for deep release to happen. You can tap along to the video for, as Leah says, many of the the things we covered are universal, and will help with release for other issues as well. Enjoy!
I was born, raised, and still live on my family’s cooperative, organic farm in Arundel with my husband, our three children, and extended family. Growing up on an organic farm, I learned the importance of good food, and the grounding that comes from being in nature and digging in the dirt. I have been interested in health and wellness for as long as I can remember but it wasn’t until more recently that I finally decided to seek training and use this passion to support others on their wellness journeys.
After the birth of my 3rd child and a family crisis, I realized that I had become disconnected from my true self. I was exhausted, anxious, and overwhelmed by the demands of daily living. I recognized that I was putting my attention on the wrong things in life and I knew I couldn’t continue as I was. I then began a journey to reconnect with myself, and follow my passion for health and wellness.
After graduating from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition as a Holistic Health Coach in 2014 I went on to study and receive certification in Reiki, and EFT (the Emotional Freedom Technique) so that I could more deeply support my clients to address the energetic and emotional aspects of their issues. When working with clients, I have a supportive, easy going approach that allows them to easily access and work on their issues. Aside from my formal training, I draw from the wisdom I have gained through my life experience.
I have a BA in Environmental Science, I have over 20 years experience teaching in various settings, I was a Doula and Birthing From Within Childbirth Educator, a farmer and CSA owner, and I have traveled all over the world. I believe that our health is restored when we learn to live in alignment with our inner being. I am passionate about supporting women to reconnect with who they are, let go of limiting beliefs, change their patterns and ways of thinking, and help them regain their power to create the life they desire.
I work with women on an individual basis as well as in groups through workshops, wellness retreats, and my Women’s Wellness Circles. The magic that happens when a group of women come together to grow and heal is powerful! I absolutely LOVE what I do!
