While painting this piece i had a breakthrough. i was loving it so much, and the thought of putting an image over it was tearing me apart… the breakthrough happened when i asked myself, what if this is enough? What if this wild abstract mess is perfect just as it is! And then that expanded out to me… what if i am enough? what if i am perfect just the way i am? This piece was instrumental in helping expose limiting beliefs around what something has to be to be considered art, and even what i thought i had to be to be accepted.
