Women ... Horses ... Creativity

Women and horses have a unique bond. Horses remind us of our inner strength and connect us to what our soul knows, that freedom is our birthright.

Through creativity, we women heal, love, weave, paint, knit and create our dreams into reality. Through creativity our intuition is strengthened. When we reclaim our creative self, we begin a dialog with our soul to awaken to our calling, remembering the dream we came here to live.

How does this work? Creativity actually forges new neural pathways, freeing our minds from the limits that have tamed us. Through creative expression we reawaken the intuitive dreamer, the passionate child of nature, and the strong woman of integrity who knows who she is and what she desires, free, wild, and unbridled.

This intimate retreat is an invitation to share & connect to this part of you with the support of horses, nature, and creativity, within a sacred circle of trust.

What you will experience

We gather a bit before 9 to get settled before we circle up at 9. In our opening circle we will explore a few activities to ignite a conversation with you creative self. During this time we will take a breath to ground into the moment and the place, to connect to a word or intention that wants to guide our day, and to get to know one another. The rest of morning is a sacred time for you to experience the horses. Sally Hildreth provides support and guidance for a safe, gentle experience where you can see yourself through the mirror of our equine companions.

After a BYO lunch, we begin our intuitive painting journey. Our creativity will integrate insights and reflections received from your time with the horses, and you experience gentle guidance from me throughout, from suggestions on explorations, to visualizations, all with the intent of freeing you from the thoughts that bind and limit you, including fears of what your art will look like!

After cleaning up, we conclude the retreat with a closing circle, burn ceremony, and restating our intentions to see how they may have changed through our experience.

About Larissa Davis

i have had a love of horses since childhood which has made them a prominent subject in my art. i was creative as a kid, too, and pursued first theater and then visual art in my teens, but gave it up for a more “realistic” career path. But when that 25-year career ended unexpectedly, i felt something deeper calling me toward a purpose and meaning that had eluded me. This soul journey lead me back to art as an expressive, intuitive, healing experience. i do what i do so that we can all reconnect with our soul’s calling and the true path of self expression.
