i find myself among wild blueberries
on a ridge with a view far away
feet caressed my cool mossy ground
paper birch leaves dancing in the west wind
join the symphony of nature’s sound

i find myself among a sweet abundance
blue magenta green chasing thoughts away
bird songs echo in the oaks and pine trees
bringing memories of yesterdays

i was here among the wild blueberries
in a glade between the birch and pine
how can one so young feel so much sorrow
so alone for such a long long time

i find myself among the wild blueberries
here i find my will to live at last
here i claim this life mine to cherish
letting go and integrating the past
