Freedom Horse: Cheval Bleu Deux

Acrylic and glitter on canvasWhen i was a teenager and just budding as an artist, i happened upon an image of the painting Cheval Blue I by Franz Marc. I felt a deep kinship, appreciation and attraction to this piece.
In 2017 i created the first of my freedom horses. The horses were in wild and unexpected colors, perhaps a memory of my connection with Cheval Bleu?
In 2023 i began a new series of freedom horses that capture a bold, wild freedom that brings immense joy to me and, i hope, to you as well.. i am ever-grateful for the inspiration the original Cheval Bleu I by Franz Marc and the impression it made on me in my youth.
