My Garden collection grew into something unexpected… both a pathway and a process for the reawakening of the feminine— intuition, creativity, emotions, and inner wisdom.
On a very personal note, growing up, I sensed disharmony between my parents. Because I idealized my father and wanted to become a woman I imagined he would love, I tried to develop the qualities I saw him admire: strength, competence, accomplishment, bravery and, most importantly, independence. In the process, the masculine energy in me became very strong.
Over time, this masculine energy became dominant and my femininity retreated. My heart became harder to hear. I didn’t know how to access my emotions. If I could even sense my intuition, I would override it at every opportunity. The parts of me that were tender, receptive, vulnerable, and deeply emotional became harder and harder to reach.
This exploration has been one of the most profound journeys of my life. In this process, I have learned that vulnerability isn’t weakness and that feeling doesn’t make me less capable.
This lion, Anahata, represents the divine masculine… loving, honoring, and protecting. He promises: You are safe. You can feel. You can create. You can be fully yourself. With him in My Garden, the feminine is finally safe to grow.
